101 Things To Do In Fergus Falls and the surrounding area is an ongoing project put together by the Fergus Falls Chamber of Commerce. As you can see the list has not made it to 101 yet! We left it unfinished, not because there isn't 101 things to do, but because we really want your input. Please let us know what you do for Fun in Fergus Falls and the surrounding area!   1. Dinner out with friends and music at The Jazzy Fox Downtown Fergus Falls.
  2. Watch beans being roasted at Stumbeano's on a Thursday evening.
  3. Hike the 4 miles of trails at the Prairie Wetlands
  4. Catch an exhibit OTC Historical Museum
  5. Catch some culture at Center for the Arts in downtown Fergus Falls.
  6. Enjoy local art exhibits at The Kaddatz Gallery in downtown Fergus Falls
  7. Go tubing down the OT River
  8. Catch a rodeo or take riding lessons at The Red Horse Ranch Arena.
  9. Taste the signature menu items: ham & cheese omelet at The Viking, Buffalo Burger at The big Chief, cheese sauce at Don Pablo’s, try to eat A Deckert Burger at Dairyland
  10. Try to find the shortest highway in Minnesota, its only 4 miles long.
  11. Feed the geese at Lake Alice in Fergus Falls
  12. Glendalough State park
  13. Drive through coffee – all locally-owned
  14. Public beach – Pebble Lake
  15. Frisbee golf at MSCTC
  16. Try a 180 kick flip at the Fergus Falls Skateboard park located at the middle school but don't forget your helmet and pads.
  17. Experience Fergus Falls great outdoors by camping at DeLagoon recreation area. Only $5 a night for tents and $15 for campers.
  18. Take a guided tour at The Historic Kirkbride (218-736-5328) .
  19. Bike, walk, or blade the 55 miles of the Central Lakes Trail. Hop on at DeLagoon Park in Fergus Falls.
  20. Run in the annual Run Away Bride Road Race in June.
  21. The Parade is back downtown in Fergus Falls for Summerfest. So park your lawn chair on Lincoln and enjoy.

  24. Take picture on the worlds biggest Otter at Grotto Park in Fergus Falls

  33. Clear your head with a stroll up and down the River Walk downtown!
  34. We love getting ice cream at Pizza Heaven (lots of flavor options) and visiting NP Park and the Public Library.
  35. Bird Watching out at Prairie Wetlands
  36. Research family, friends and relatives in the OTC Historical Museum archives.
  37. Ride over a 170 miles of groomed snowmobile trails in Ottertail County.
  38. Throw a ball down the lanes at Northern Aire Lanes.
  39. Play some horseshoes at Broadway Park in Fergus Falls
  40. Listen to Music at Roosevelt park every Thursday at 5:00pm from June 21 - Aug 9th.
  41. Enjoy the MN shaped indoor swimming pool at The Best Western Falls Inn and Suites.
  42. Take your kids to Home Depot for craft classes on the first Saturday of every month.
  43. Pedal Power it up at I94 BMX, Mon and Thurs at 7:00pm
  44. Check out The Classic Car Club show and swap meet at the WOTC Fairgrounds on Aug 5th
  45. Take your kids fishing on The Ottertail River.
  46. Belt out a tune at the Open Mike Night at The Kaddatz.
  47. Eagle Viewing at Glendalough State Park, Sat. at 10:00am
  48. Shop till you drop without spending a lot at Crazy Days in Fergus Falls. July 19th-21nd
  49. Rummage the day away at the All City Rummage sale on Sat. July 21nd in Fergus Falls.
  50. Enjoy the Celtic Music Jam at The Kaddatz Hotel on July 19th.
  51. Don't miss mini donuts, 4H displays and the Demo Derby and the WOTC Fair on July 18th-21st.
  52. See how many different perennials you can identify along with River Walk downtown, maintain by the Fergus Falls Garden Club.
  53. Head downtown to one of the town's favorite coffee shops! Locally owned Barringer's Coffee House has a friendly staff, excellent service, and even better food and drinks!
  54. Explore LAKE ALICE! Bike, rollerblade, walk or jog (1.2 miles from beginning to end) around this FF vlandmark! Don't forget bread or popcorn to feed the ducks and geese along the way!
  55. Go to the mall and check out the movie thetear,the clothing stores, food stores, hair stores and the nail store so u can show off your pretty nails!
  56. Attend Val Moline's wedding, on 07/07/07--the perfect day for a wedding!
  57. Pick your own strawberries or raspberries at Herzog Berries!
  58. 54th Annual Threshing show at nearby dalton, MN. A complete family vacation with activities for all.
  59. Visit the humane societyand play with the pets up for adoption.
  60. Visit Broken Down Damn or any of the city parks and consider the adopt a park program.
  61. Participate in the annual Point To Peak, Hospice, or any of the
    Motorcycle fundraising Rides taking place this summer.
  62. Mow somebody elses lawn or do a good deed to help somebody out.
  63. Spend an afternoon visiting family or friends.... they may not be there
    when you have time so take time.
  64. Go browsing the Salvation Army and Goodwill thrift stores for some fun vintage clothing.
  65. A girls group that I'm in meets at Applebee's 1-2 times a month at 9pm for their Buy 1 Get 1 Appitizer Special! We always close down the place! Plus it's a great deal when you have a group and it only costs about $3/person (we're young families on a budget)!
  66. Browse downtown Bookmark's beautiful used book store, it's comfortable and quiet.
  67. Head over to the Coffee Cabin and try the town's favorite Blended Coffees and Natural Smoothies...ooo and the homemade cheesecake is wonderful!!
  68. Visit the Humane Society of Otter Tail County and give our furry friends some love!
  69. Pick up a yard of those
    fabulous vintage inspired fabrics from the Quilters Cottage and make some fun napkins for the dining table.
  70. Try your hand at making home-made jam with all the fruit available in the summer and fall and spread it on some of that fabulous bread from the Falls Baking Company. Fabulous!
  71. Spend a quiet afternoon reading your favorite book under a tree at Phelps Mill park listening to the water falling over the dam.
  72. Hike up to Inspiration Peak, the tallest point in Otter Tail County.
  73. Take a stroll through the leaves at Maplewood State Park as they change color on a bright sunny weekend day in September.
  74. Watch a soccer game at DeLagoon.
  75. Take a ride down Dayton Hallow dam. It's fun
  76. Have a few cold ones with new (or old) friends at Mable Murphey's.
  77. Golf!
  78. Participate in the Hoot Lake Triathlon (July), or run the YMCA 1/2 marathon (June)
  79. Eat Godfathers Pizza! Not available in some other areas of the country.
  80. Spending time at Lindig Farms each fall is a great tradition to start with your family! Pick the perfect pumpkin right from the vine, visit with the animals and take a hayride around this gorgeous property.
  81. Take a tour of the old state hospital.
  82. Play hide-n-seek in Walmart.
  83. Surprised nobody mention Fergus's top shopping destination:
    Mills Fleet Farm!
  84. Check out the art exhibit at the Community College.
  85. Enjoy a unique and delicious breakfast or lunch at Union Cafe-1219 N Union, Fergus Falls.
